No Start, Turn Signals Flashing!

My wife just called me at work to tell me that the car won't start and the "hazards" are blinking. She had just gotten back from running a few errands and everything was fine. She shut it down and went inside for a bit and when she tried to start it back up later, she noticed the hazards and it won't turn over. I rushed home and after seeing it myself, it's not the hazards, it's just both turn signals on the dash blinking and only the front park lights blinking, nothing in the rear. When I turn the ignition, nothing. The idiot lights are all on when the ignition is on, but it won't turn over. I 'raked' the autotrans selector several times thinking it might be the PNP (even though the orange arrow is not blinking) and nothing. Went ahead and pulled the negative on the battery to stop the blinking. The battery is an Optima that was replaced last summer and cranks fine.

Anybody?

I'm guessing this sounds like another immobilizer issue. Try unlocking the drivers door with the key. Or waiting 30 min.

I'd check the posts on here. The alarm/immobilizers seem to have some issues over time.

Good Luck!

Ding! Ding! Ding!

I had narrowed it down maybe a fuse with the door, but it was fine. The power unlock inside wouldn't unlock the door, so I was moving in that direction next. The funny thing is I had kinda ruled out the imobilizer because the horn was beeping. Had she told me that prior to leaving I would have known. She laso jusr confessed to trying to unlock the the rear door by pulling the manual lock before putting the key in.

Now I'll have ti investigate the alarm horn which should have been sounding along with the flashes. In anycase thanks a heap.
