notatdi
I am not sure where to look next. It happens once it is warm...light to moderste throttle, when I shift it is as if there is no fuelwhen the clutch is released, and themn it catches and you have acceleration. It's as if all throttle modulation goes away...but there are no codes..and it is intermittent. There has been a power derating message, but it does not necesarily coincide with the eratic throttle modulation....and again, no engine codes are thrown. All maintenance is up to date and there is 105k on the car. Help!
mrtl321
That sounds kind of weird.... Have you checked all your vac + intercooler lines? Just an idea

If there is a message about power loss in the DIM there will be codes stored in the ECM, we need those codes to help you properly diagnose this. Has the recall 181 been performed? This is a recall on the fuel pressure sensor, if you are unsure you can call your local dealer with your VIN # and they can tell you all the outstanding recalls on your vehicle. Thre has been a massage about power loss, but when I read the codes with my global OBD2 reader, there do not appear to be any set. Are htese codes you speak of not readable with a global obd2 tool? mrtl321
there should some codes somewhere. I'm getting a volvo specific obdII scanner sometime soon, it must have taken the slow boat. Is stillwater close to clearwater?

dmelviØØ7
Could be an ETM issue as well, looks like a trip to the dealer is in your future.
notatdi
My trip to the dealer this morning resulted in the last 10 miles in limp mode. 35mph got me there and they said there were a ton of ETM codes thrown. They Did the ETM recall reflash and I drove away with smooth power and no hiccups when I shift...but lost my tune. The service manager said if the etm screws up again they will replace it under warranty. ..So..I guess we will see how long it lasts. ...for now I am happy to have a drivable car.:)
