I Hate Teasers

I wouldn't classify this as a teaser, since you are showing everyone everything your doing lol.

Plus I should sue for stealing my intellectual property. I don't know how I feel about it Bill, to be honest.

First off...you will have WAY too many colors going on for it to look good (green, red, silver stickers, black and now a orange-ish colored hood? It will look like a clown car.

Second, you will have to clear coat it otherwise you will fuck your bumper, and it will look like shit. Hood-ride Rust looks good in moderation, not running down other pieces and panels of a car. Then it just looks bad.

I say spend your money on getting the bumper painted, not on other things.

Hmmm, it's one thing to take a rusted out early model car and make it drivable but to take something that's fairly nice and make it worn out and dated beyond it's years is entirely different.  Now if it was a car that came from the junkyard or has been partially parted out, that's another story. Whatever floats your boat. Great way to throw money in the toilet.

Well, I would have to agree that your car will look like a clown car if you do just the raised portion of your hood. BUT, I will say this: do it right, and you will come away with an awesome freaking car

One Example:

This BMW E28 5 series belongs to a certain Mr. Burroughs, founder of www.Stanceworks.com

It's been done a lot, and it's been done well. So don't mess it up. Do the whole car.

never said it was a teaser.. re-read the title... I HATE TEASERS! this is to show whats going on.. you never said you were doing a hood ride. you just said you were doing a +T on your NA...

first thats the idea. to go away from what everyone has.. im not posting look at what i washed and shined.. my 15yo mom mobile. and the wheels are getting stripped soon enough.. and in the VW world they call it "harlequin" when we have more than one color.. and its highly desireable..

second.. clear coat what.. the rust? fuuuuuck that.. no running down is the shit..

ps.. i have paint.. have hvlp gun.. and air.. soooo that may be happening depending on how I LIKE the look.

do i smell envy? or just pissed cause i actually did/doing it?

Oh, I know I said that I hate euro plates. but this one looks waaay to cool on the front. so there.

Slow down Bill, don't get your panties in a twist.

Your correct, in the VW world harlequin can be a popular look, which is made up of different color professional painted body panels. You drive a Volvo and just slapping some spray paint on your wheels and rusting a hood wont make it look like a dub.

No envy or anger coming from me. If you or anyone else in the local crew can remember, a rusted hood was in the works from me but I backed out to buy a motor which turned out to be uber busted.

LOL at this thread turning into a CFL crew cat fight.

I'm looking forward to seeing the whole thing done. I dunno that just a hood would be enough to pull off the look though.

I like the idea.

I used to have a bit of noise in a board I used in the studio. I did all this crap to get it out. One day, I said screw it and left it in there. I made three of the hotest tracks, with noise.

This is Bill's noise. It could be hot. After he get's the second piece to this puzzle done, I think most people will give him props.

Anyway, it doesn't mattter what people think. As long as he's happy with it. And he isn't doing this to his stock hood, he still has it if it doesn't look how he intended.
