mustang
All, I know this has been discussed before, but has been a while so I thought i'd share my experience. The ABS module on my 2001 S80 finally died and was quoted around $1500 from the local dealer and around $950 by a non-dealer repair shop. This forum indicated a shop in California that can repair them. After some research, emails, and calls, I went with their service. They were able to repair my unit and only took a few days to get it back. I spend about 30 min removing it, and about 15 min putting it back in. The shop gave me good instrucions for both operations. Total bill was $125 + $15 return shipping. I had a good experience and my ABS unit seems to be working well from doing some hard test stops--and no more warning lights. Consider using them *when* your ABS goes out. Check out Victor Rocha (562) 652-3562 http://home.earthlink.net/~vicrocha/ vicrocha@earthlink.net Hope this helps. TaskMule
you all do know what they do to the module right?.... Yup. Tried that, it worked for a while, but failed after a few months. Not worth my time to mess with it again, now it's fixed, and lifetime warranty. Money well spent, I say.
