JVC
If you're not gonna fix it let me know, I can pick up tons of parts off this, haha. Best off fixing it though... Good run for that trans though for sure, I'm waiting for mine to go. check out http://tripleedgeperformance.com/ they special in the 4T65 and they build them for the Pontiacs, but I'm sure they could build one up for you, thats my plan for when I bomb it... -John
Chilled man
Only good part about it being a GM Tranny at least you can rebuild it :D
HtownTurboBrick
Since the T6 is basically a I5 white block +1 cylinder so the casting is pretty much the same, lets say you get daring and stick a M56H swap in that biatch and see how a manual T6 stacks up or am I just grasping at straws on this one? Straws. A standard transmission won't fit, the engine bay isn't big enough. That's why they had to use that GM tranny in the first place, it's was the most compact trans available at the time. S8ET6
well good luck with it! did it just come on suddendly? howd you break it? just driving normal? or crazy? It died while driving normally. Doing 25 mph thru a school zone near the house, and the rpms just started jumping around due to trans slippage. Limped it home, shut it off and trans fluid started leaking from the front of the car. Laughed, said "fuck It" and went in the house. I'll look at it later this week. If you're not gonna fix it let me know, I can pick up tons of parts off this, haha. Best off fixing it though... I like the car, plus upgrading to what I want to drive would require taking on a car note - negative. I've known about Triple Edge ever since I purchased my car. Even if they don't do the actual rebuild, I'll definitely be using their rebuild kit. My biggest issue with em is that I've got to pull the trans and send it to them. How difficult is pulling a trans? Since the T6 is basically a I5 white block +1 cylinder so the casting is pretty much the same, lets say you get daring and stick a M56H swap in that biatch and see how a manual T6 stacks up or am I just grasping at straws on this one? Hmmm... the firewall does have a cutout for a clutch....

Now that I think about, I think s80's may have been offered with manual transmissions in europe. What I don't know is what engines got manual transmissions though... What I don't know is what engines got manual transmissions though... We'll here begs the question. During the development of the T6 a S70 was used and slightly wide bodied to be incognito about the upcoming S80. So it can't be that cramped if it only required a couple of extra inches on a S70. I'm sure some creativity could get a M56 in there

I'm sure some creativity could get a M56 in there It took "some creativity" to get something as simple as a FMIC installed. I'd rather spend the money building a bullet proof auto, than experiment on converting it to a manual. maybe next time - after the next transmission fails...
