Guest Jane Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 The garage that repaired my A/C had to take the dash and radio out in order to get to the A/c. Now the radio only works from the center speaker. The car has a SC900 radio and the mechanic says it needs a external factory amplifier which he cannot find. Any suggestions. (n)A-GAME Posted August 5, 2009 Report Share Posted August 5, 2009 V70 will have a black metal amplifier, it should be located under the passenger front seat. But, the fact that your radio turns on at all tells me that the amplifier is hooked up. An SC-900 would not turn on if it did not have an amplifier connected to it. Double check the connections behind the radio head unit. Pull the unit out (do you know how to do that?), disconnect everything, and reconnect the whole setup. MAKE SURE YOU HAVE YOUR RADIO CODE BEFORE DOING THIS!!!!!! But, +1 on it worked before and now it doesn't? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
