2000 S70 Auto Transmission Question

From like half a year ago, I asked a question about whether my 5 speed auto transmission is dying or not. In short, no, and AMD Auto was trying to rip me off. This thread

Anyways, I'm due for a transmission flush. The last time we got it checked, it was back in March and the fluid was light brown. It's not August and it's pretty much due for a flush. I won't be doing it myself but I will purchase the fluid and bring it to AMD Auto to do the transmission flush, unless you guys got a good place to do the flush. So according to this post, I need to purchase some Toyota T1V transmission fluid? How much do I need to purchase?

On a side note, how do you tell if your transmission is slipping?

Again, it's a 5 speed automatic. Thanks!

How much air should I have in my S70? The tires were filled with nitrogen at 32PSI/29PSI front/rear a few months ago. The manual states like 32PSI/29PSI I believe, but I've heard that you should just keep it at 33PSI front and rear now. Is this correct?

Also the brakes seem to be squealing a bit under braking. I think it's the brakes because before, as seen in this thread, I said that there seems to be light squealing every once in a while under light braking. However, I also seem to be experiencing a random high pitch sound when driving normally. Sorry if I'm being confusing on this.

Also for tune ups, you mean doing the service right? We do only the major services and I believe we do them every 90K. The car is running fine, except that sometime it'll feel just a bit sluggish.

Mods, if required, merge 2000 S70 Auto Transmission Question with this thread.

Many thanks!

Honestly...do it yourself. It will cost you $30 on fluid and $1 in hose. Take 25 min of your time.

Just unplug the hose to your radiator, easy, then hook the 1/2 hose that you bought to that and put it to a bucket. Turn the car on, and take roghly two qts out, put two qts in, and repeat till you put 12 qts through.

Call me 707 362-0641 and I'll walk you throgh. I just I'd it last week on my s70

Tried to talk my way through to do it myself, but I'm not allowed to. Small garage, small driveway, no jacks and crap, everyone thinks its dangerous cus I have to start the car with the car jacked up, and cus I'm inexperienced and never done any maintenance work before besides the normal stuff like checking the fluids in the engine bay and what not.

Anyways, I'll be going back to AMD Auto to do a transmission flush, and oil change, along with checking out some weird noises as said in my 2nd post of this thread. I got 10L of Mobil ATF 3309 ready for tomorrow. Paid almost $70 for it. Now the only problem is if they'll flush it...

Oh, transmission oil change and transmission flush is the same thing right? Just a different way of calling it?

You don't need to jack the car up. You just idle the car to change the ATF. Small driveway is perfectly good.

But then, you had a good point about how you never do any maintenance on your car.

Why go back to AMD auto if they try to rip you off the first time? Find another mechanic?!

Well either way, AMD was pretty good, just like normal. They changed all of the transmission fluid I believed. Took 4L out, put 4L of Mobile ATF 3009 in, started the car and ran it for a while, then repeat. Still got maybe 1L remaining. Cost $90 for labour. I'd love to find another mechanic, but my mom trusts only AMD. Plus she refused to drive to Carus Auto in Mississauga.

Also, they had the front passenger brake calipers replaced, as I said over at Swedespeed. Still getting that random high pitch sound though..
