As of now I have a Alpine CDA-7995 head unit, 2 sets of 5.25" Reference MbQuart s speakers (a set up in the front doors and set in the rear luggage rack), powered by a Kenwood 5 channel amp, 2 10"AudioBahn 600watt rms 1200peak subs, powered by a hct2200 AudioBahn amp, and 2 Voodoo 1 farad capacitors. What I want now is a custom box. I've gotten quotes of $795-1200. I dont know if this is really worth that much money. I think for that much money I would be better off working on my engine seeing how it is a slow '96 850 non turbo. Any opinions? Please help me!!!! BenW Posted November 15, 2004 Report Share Posted November 15, 2004 over 700 for a sub box? thats nuts!!!Sorry any installers out thier but with a plan and the materials im thinking like 5-7 hours to build a decent sealed box. Got a set of IPD springs, Bilstien shocks/struts, strut brace, and a set of 17" Moda Rims...as for the box, its going to be a full on custom trunk with both my amps, subs, and capacitors under plexi.
