Cooling Fan...

Got new turbo hoses today, and I'm back to hitting "high" psi again (All stock motor), but I noticed after some SLIGHT spirts of hard acceleration, then like 2 minutes of slow driving, my fan still stays on for like 5 minutes after I cut the car off...

What's wrong, car actually THAT hot, or fan just acting screwy?

I believe that's fairly normal, happens to my car well use to happen, my fan hasn't turned on for 2 weeks now...I'm getting it checked tomorow.

As your driving the fan normally doesn't turn on since I'm guessing enough air is flowing in keeping the temp below the limit. As the car is stoped the temp rises making the fan turn on. Don't quote me on all this, just assumptions, I guess I shouldn't of posted not being sure but thought I could help just a bit.

But it depends on what 2 light spirts are considered to be???

I know that in the hot summer for me (but pretty much year around for you) that a couple of ten second pulls with the engine fully warm could start the fan.

Sorry for not the best answer, I was hoping someone with more knowledge would have continued this post...

haha, it's ok...You made an effort, that's all that matters :)

It was pretty kool last night, I'd say low 60's, but I guess it's fine, I just would hate for my fan to burn out or something, but today it cut it out, my car is going through a "phase" of weird jerk stuff, hopefully I get through it
