"2 Ohm" Infinity Reference With Factory Amp?

I was looking at replacing the stock speakers with Infinity Reference series due to the easy fit. But the new Infinity Reference speakers are listed as having the following "feature":

True Four Ohms— All Reference speakers feature two ohm voice coils. Original factory-installed speaker wiring in many cars is 18-22 gauge. This wire, and heating in the voice coil when power is applied, increase the impedance “seen” by the amplifier or head unit. The impedance of Reference Speakers has been adjusted to compensate for this increase and can be safely driven by any head unit.

I currently have a SC-816 in my 850 wagon with the factory amp from a T5-R. I was going to replace the front door and rear door speakers with the infinity coax (disconnect dash tweeters and rear pillar tweeters). But I'm concerned the "true 4 ohm" (really 2 ohm?) speakers will overheat the factory amp, even though infinity claims they can be "safely driven by any head unit".

Any thoughts on whether doing this will harm the 50x4 factory amp?
