My 9-5 in stock form would easily slaughter my 850 equipped w/ a cup kit, IPD swaybars, IPD truss-style strut brace, and Powerflex bushings in the handling dept.. Now that the 9-5 is fitted w/ Bilsteins and SAS Swaybars, I couldn't ever bring myself back to the understeer-happy ways of the FWD 850/S/V/C 70 platform.

I like going around corners too. That is not a major theme on this board- understandably, these FWD 850/S/V/C 70s are good cheap comfy dragsters, or really good cheap comfy long legged GTs that can haul a butt load of people and stuff.

How dies the steering and brake assist feel on your Saab compared to a p1 volvo? I find the the over assist in my 855 really annoying, even for a luxo barge.

That first red car is beautiful. The 4 banger does not sound an anywhere near as cool as a the volvo 5 bangers. I like the 5 banger volvo sound right up there with inline sixes, v 12s and the ohc small block fords.

Admittedly, the 5-cyl engine definitely sounds better than the I-4 in the Saabs.

One thing that always bugged me on the 850 was that the steering wheel felt like it wanted to keep turning when I didn't want it to. The Saab does not suffer from this, yet it also takes less effort to turn. The brake feel on the Saab feels very sharp, much like it is on a lot of newer cars (at least on the S60's I've driven). It's very different from the 850. You just have to drive one to get an idea of how it feels.
