Bazarvospeed
hey people , I think I scored a xc70 dome light in a 850 today. It looks different than any ones I seen since the " icons " are on the buttons. could it be that they are supposed to light up? I tried it in my 850 but the lights didnt light up.....is there a wire to it that im missing? thanks! - Bazarnik
NGB
If the "icons" are on the buttons, it should light up.

It does plug right up but im not seeing any icons lite up. I was hoping I could somehow swap the buttons to my dome light as my 850 has a sunroof. let me know people. Bazarvospeed
ok I just took apart the dome light , there are tiny bulbs to each button. so now I know these are to light up. I need to know if there's anothe wire that supposed to switch them on when the headlights are on. also what are the chances they are burnt? TFIVEM
they aren't burnt, the illumination wire doesn't exist in the 850 harness. you have to run a wire down and tap into a pink wire off of any one of your switches, that way they dim with your other lights. if you just want them on all the time, you can just tap it into another power. AaronD81
I think the wire needs to go to pin 8 on the dome light plug. Just look for a wire on the map light side of the plug that goes to an empty spot on the car plug side.
