Air Conditioning And Recirculating

Hello Guys, one day I cranked up my 850R and I noticed that two lights were flashing for a couple of seconds on the AC Panel, The "A/C" and "REC" button flash continuasly for a couple of seconds and then it doesn't anymore, I wonder if this a self test of the A/C or something else...

It happened ramdomly couple of times before too......

Any one experienced this before???

There is a code stored in the ACC and depending on the year of the 850 you may or may not be able to retrieve codes yourself.

ITS A 1996 850R

what could be the problem, it does it randomly, not all the time........ :unsure:

This past weekend I cleaned out the car and cleaned the face of the unit and for the next 3 times starting the car got the flashing, then went away.

Mine flashes if there's a heavy rain. From what I've read tho, it often comes from the blower pulling too much current during the startup test, which may foretell blower issues.

I have had the lights tell me that the cabin temp sensors one one side or the other of the cabin were failing, and that the incoming air temp sensor in the air ducts was bad. There are a number of things that it can be, and the AC system can stil be functioning with some of them (just not as well).
