The only reason it bothers me so much is... well...People say, "OH it only has as much HP as a T5 while that extra boost isn't there!!!" That's commons sense. If you're at the same boost on the same exact motor you are going to have the same exact HP at the same exact RPM. The badging doesn't add magical HP. HP ratings are always the peak power output of the engine, it's not like the car puts out 222hp until it hits that extra boost and then drops back down to 222hp forever when the boost period is over. That's just what it sounds like and BOOOOO to that stuff.If you want the real specs on any Volvo don't believe what you read on the internet, I've seen so much BAD information on Volvo 850s it snot even funny. Some sites even say the S60R has a W8. For real specs on ANY volvo go to the volvocars website and the owners area. After 1995 the car was called 850-R.←There were also a very small number of white T5-R's made. I know a guy that has one. I saw it one day at the dealer and I asked him if it was a real T5-R. He said yeah. I didn't believe him of course. So he opens the door jam and sure enough, there was that 58 instead of the 57 in the VIN. It also had the same color code as my car.
