SIAMBLUE
Does anyone know if the Platinum range were badged as T5R or R?Also did anyone get any pics of that white T5R in the end?Gary
matt1122
Platinum editions were just T5/Turbos, not Rs or T-5Rs.However, the Pearl White Platinum color used on the prototypes was used the following years on the 850 R, and the color was available on platinum trim models as well. You have probably seen some of these - over the past 9 years most of them have had serious paint fading. It's hard to find the pictures of the pre-production T-5Rs, though. It would have looked like that only a little lowered, not sure what wheels would be used, either. WhiteT5
There's a guy locally here that has a white pre-production T5-R. I met him up at the dealership one day. Car has IPD cat-back and power-slot rotors as it's only mods. It has titans also.

Chris_R
It's not like he can't bolt the stock muffler back on.Besides, the rarity of a car is only valuable if there is a market for it. Though there were only ~400 S70Rs I'd wager that their valuse is no higher than a V70R of the same year. Sorry if I burst anyone's bubble, but these cars were not made, and are not known, for their 'collectable' status.

I doubt that Chris. If there was a legit S70R for sale in the US I'd sell for more than a same year V70R, (to someone with the right knowlege)
Chris_R
But we're counting on someone with the right knowledge... To you or me, sure. But John Q. Public is going to scoff at the price and probably oh yeah! because it has AWD and they cost more to fix.
