swedishiron
Has anyone used this as a changer with a SC-901/900 head unit. I am thinking about skipping getting my head unit repaired and just getting this trunk changer (bad changer). I believe I need an adapter for the AI-Net down to an older adapter that Sc-901 users (M-bus?) - I will do some more reading about that. I want a trunk changer that will support MP3s. Has anyone successfully connected any other brand trunk changer with their SC-900/901 ? Thanks
BEJinFBK
Alpine did make the OEM changer, but when they build things for a car maker, there's usually a hitch. In this case, the OEM data stream has a couple of flipped bits so that only a Volvo labeled changer will work. Crutchfield had a "Volvo Ready" six disc unit for a while, but I don't know if it handled mp3's. Seems like it was around $250.00. USASpec or Blitzsafe? dmelviØØ7
I have an SC-901 that the 3 disc doesn't work in and I think I can get a 6 disc as well that is currently hooked up to a 901.
