Still Cannont Find Whats Wrong

Ok, so Im have a big problem with my 850R. I put a speedtunning 17psi tune on there in early july, the car was boosting great making 17 psi. Then these past few weeks I havnt been able to get above 11psi. I then changed every vacum line on my car and installed a new ipd HD TCV, the TCV was giving me very iraddic boost levels sometimes 5 sometimes 10. So I went back with factory TCV which seems to be running more constant levels of boost. Still down at 11psi tho, I thought maybe it could be coming out of the CBV so I ordered a forge motorsport BOV kit with cbv blanking plate and installed that yesterday. It seems power is back but not like before it comes in randomly and still only showing 11psi on my boost gauge. Could I have a faulty boost gauge its only 2-3 months old and was working fine before. If anyone has any idea's on what can help me out please let me know.

does it FEEL like your boost guage is wrong?

Maybe there's a crack in the line, or it isn't seated completely right in either end?

Can you smoke test the car? I've never met a T5 that didn't have a handful of leaks. They are easy to find if you can put smoke in the system.

You can also do a pressure test at the turbocharger with a homemade boost leak tester. I would strongly suggest you pull the dipstick when testing. It is possible to blow out the rear main by putting too much pressure in the crankcase (gets in through the PCV system). Also, disconnect the cruise control bladder if equipped. Pressure testing the system will likely tear the bladder inside the cabin. It blows up like a balloon and pops.

Likely spots for leaks - intercooler top, hard vac. lines running beneath battery box, idle hose, manifold to PTC nipple hose, brake hose fitting at booster, boost hoses, etc........

Make note, sometimes you have an air leak - not a hose that sees boost - which will completely screw up the MAF readings and the car will reduce boost via the BCS. Example, leaky tank vent hose, leaky canister hoses, etc....

Have FUN!
