Normally I would post in the WTB, but slater has not posted on this site since 2006. I tried to email his website, but it said his mailbox was full.

Can anyone tell me what is going on with slater and his products?

thanks,

QBM is not really doing business anymore due to the health issues Slater has been dealing with. I would just get OEM endlinks or IPD HD. IPD use to sell the QBM endlink, so you could check with them. IMO, QBM endlinks aren't worth the money and they don't hold up well over time.

Oh, that is sad to hear. He had what looked like some solid products. I hope he has a speedy recovery. IPD HD it is.

Thanks.

Has anyone used the Volvo Motorsports endlinks? Those are the ones I ordered, I haven't got them yet but they will be installed on IPD performance sway bars.

:o You should have searched this site about VMS before ordering those. You'll be lucky to actually receive them.

less than a yr. on 2 different sets of HD links

I had them on a 99V70xc, and honestly think the volvo endlinks work better on my wagon.

MOre than 50k miles on my QBM links. No problems, and good performance with IPD sway bars. If you don't have the dust boots on the Heims joints you fail. Much discussion already on this. When I inquired about joints wearing out I was provided with 2 sets of rubber boots, for free.

Get the whole story then judge.

I had 1st-gen QBM links WITH the matching (i.e. right-sized) QBM dust boot Slater sent me. The links were installed together with the boot. Two years later, the lower heim joints on both sides are badly shot.

I also have the beefier Xtreme QBM links with matching boots. So far, no problems yet after 2 years of DD use.

Yeah, I called them several times, and they seem to be dragging their feet. Promises, promises. I hope they are at least nice if I do get them.
