EricF
How much boost are you running Eric? What size turbine? Once boost comes on in second, the tires just let loose. Same at the top of third. I really feather it to stay planted and actually get anywhere. I need a diff bad. Spikes to 17, settles to 15-16.. Doing some tuning and upping the boost is on the list though. The turbine is a Turbonetics stage 3 T3 wheel, and I believe a .68 AR housing. It has a ported and extrude honed exhaust manifold as well. Stock cams though. It's also in the low 10s for WOT air/fuel ratios. At 12:1 and 18 psi I suspect it will be over 300 whp. As it stands, I feel pretty comfortable saying that it's as fast as the last car that dyno'd 270 whp at 4700 RPM when the boost came on before we had to lift due to AFRs that we were reading (though on the street I had been taking it to 7200 RPM, that was with 22-23 psi... 57 trim T04E cold side, T3 Stage 3 turbine wheel and .63 AR housing, NA cams, Motronic). If we'd taken that dyno run to 7000, I bet it would have been at least around 305-315 whp. I really need to run the car at the track though to get a semi-accurate idea of power. I'm guessing 104-106 mph traps, but I've predicted foolishly high and foolishly low in the past What size/brand/model tires do you have? How new is the tread? Regardless, I think you are probably pretty well past me in terms of power. Larger turbo, better flowing engine overall, more time tuning, etc.
850 LongBeach
overladdads car comes to mind about this topic, his car has 500+ and looks pretty stock on the outside Overladded lied... There was a forum in sweden that I google translated to read more about him..He was only 350 hp on his dyno graphs..
Leo850T5
Turbor850 is the only one I can think of that fits that description One of my favorite 850s for sure

Regardless, I think you are probably pretty well past me in terms of power. Larger turbo, better flowing engine overall, more time tuning, etc. My tires suck. They are new, but only 205/50/16 and I don't even remember the brand I know thats part of the problem.

ovlovturbo
overladdad has a holset hx40 turbo in his car along with a built motor and stright exhaust he has way over 350 and i know people who know him personally and they have told me it is genuine hp number. he raced rockos autotech tuned 850 that has or had 450hp and pulls away from him so there has to be more than 350 in the car
Guest turboVULVA
"Dude lol 19t maybe 300 whp but no way 400 hp at all with it you will need at least a garret no volvo turbo will ever get close. Jack8745
I would really hope 400whp is attainable with a Garret GT35. I wouldnt waste my money on a T5 if they cant make that with a GT35. I was at a dyno day yesterday, and bunch of guys with Turbo BMWs, Turbo Audi S4s, 911 TTs ect . There was a 02 awd S4 there that im interested in. The guy that owns it is a 60yr old and this thing has 420WHP with a stage 3 setup and with only 70K and perfect. Im really starting to wonder about how hard/$$$ it takes to get that HP from these T5 engines. I really dont think you get your $$$ worth out of them. But i still love em! man i been thinking the same lately. you can pick up an S4 for cheap now!

82889pro
cherry bombs usually don't usually give a stock exhaust note i know but the huge super restrictive suitcase looking muffler didn't cut it, plus the stock on kinda got a hole in it so i replace it all
scandalo
There are few cars that don't look stock on this board. A R bumper is not that different from stock. Nor is 17 inch rims.
Naughty33W
as for "not burnin tires" , i read a great article in car and driver magazine comparing several tires to a high performance PRICEY one dunlop derrezi (however u spell it) dz-101 tires were amazing in all catagories (damn near as good as tires 3x the price) it was either car and driver vol.55 no.2 or no.3 my point is - those dunlops are my next tires , no doubt
lookforjoe
Should think about the tune first. There are a bunch of people with decently sized turbos that don't put down 'nice hp numbers'. Definitely need an appropriate tune. I'm waiting for a revised tune to take advantage of my 20g. The tune I had was good for 330BHP on a 19T/KKK24 (I got 282WHP out of it). Without the right tune, you'll never see any real power.
B Mac
my stock looking Volvo Stage III tune 15psi boost, removed condenser, horns to bring intercooler in front 2 1/2 cherry bomb exhaust idk about 400bhp but its fun to tweet off the Honda boys and just what honda guys are you speaking of? The honda guys around would roast on any volvo in this forum...track, street, doesn't matter. 400whp cars that weight not much more than a ton are nothing to shake a stick at. I think you're talking about hondas with fart cans...that aren't fast. Congrats on messing with slow cars, go pick on somebody your own size Aaron in Texas is over 4 I believe his car is as subtle as a dragster though which is really quite subtle if you think about it...
