esundell90 Posted November 3, 2011 Report Share Posted November 3, 2011 wrong. A GLT with a 16t and a T5 tune will beat a STOCK T5 But chip a T5 and you will smash on a GLT with T5 parts anyday. And T5 then have a much higher ceiling to go from there with an exhaust, intercooler, etc..., where you will be at the limits of the GLT with just T5 parts. This. Mine went like stink with the IPD tune, 16t and bolt on's on my Stock R. Managed to get it down to 15.2 in teh 1/4 which I didn't think was too bad. I had a 97 GLT with a 16T and it was the quickest 15G/16T 850 I have ever had. That car would flat move out. As you can tell by my sig I have had a few 850's so I have tried them all except N/A.
