Wrapped the brake line, even though it's now behind the insulation, I don't want it chafing, rubbing on anything Flattened the insulation to match, added DEI thermo sheet to the PS rack, since the DP flex sits very close added the "B" bridge connector for future use with the "Dummy" ECU Added the COP connector to the stock "B" connector for VEMS Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

With the BB 6262 -big manifolds- big cams- VEMS ect this car will be one fast ALL GLORY TO THE HYPNOTOAD wagon. For me, seeing Trent (854gta) get 377whp at only 18psi with a 3071R on a mustang dyno was an eye opener. That setup like you having the big cams - manifolds and of course a "standalone" really makes the difference as most us big turbo guys on here always show low dyno numbers vs other similar sized engines with similar turbos at the same psi. Once they arrive, it can all come together. I'm going to also try & get all the suspension work done before it's running. VEMS won't be ready until later - probably over the summer. Following this guide and also this page, which has links, if you can figure them out The board I received had no knock chip installed, so I had to do that - surface mount chips are no fun to do. I had to order a better soldering iron (CMOS safe) with a VERY small tip to deal with it. Knock chip in the top right corner, and the crystal below it. ...also these tiny fuckers in the top right - my eyesight ain't what it used to be, I have discovered Fortunately most everything else is regular pin/leg mounted, so not hard to do. Figuring out how the board will lay in a Motronic ECU SDCard reader for much faster data logging. Have to remove that upper junction block, it will hit the ECU cover was going to put the injector FET's on the top side (heat sink on top of them) like so, but I put them underneath .. so easier to have the heatsink draw off to the outer casing, along this line. It will press evenly on the FET's, to ensure proper heat dissapation (sp?) I still have to add all the ign coil bridges shown here in orange Top side of board Karl Buchka on TB has a bunch of VEMS Wiki pages that are most helpful for this, and he has been giving me advise also. Marc Swanson at EFI Express, where I bought the components has also been very patient with my various questions. He helped with identifying the board locations, since they don't come marked in any way. The VEMS Wiki is difficult to navigate & find specific info on, unfortunately. I keep the ECU plate on the table & touch it first if I should get up & move around for any reason. Usually on e I'm seated, that's it for the duration. Hopefully you cleaned up your solder job, cause that one on the left looks really bad and will probably develop cracks soon after if not fixed. Then the fun of trying to trace down those. Yeah the ground legs were a bitch to get hot enough to flow. I have to go back & clean them up. where did u get that torque arm from? NRG off eBay, it's listed for an Evo, I think.
