lookforjoe
tire slip? Looking again at this one: speed goes from 69 to 78 in under .2 sec, which would seem to be more indicative of spin. The earlier one doesn't show any speed increase when the rpm's shoot up

lookforjoe
OLED is here. Took a while- I ordered off a Japanese vendor since the pricing was around $100 less than US, even with shipping and bank/PP fees for payment inYen. Only downside is tha manual is Japan market, but US version is here:http://www.greddy.com/upload/file/Profec_manual.pdf
lookforjoe
Found a UK seller for the Ford Focus RS MK2 oversize oil cooler kit. It's on the way. Removed the bevel gear damper found on 98-99 models, as it overlaps the space that the new cooler will occupy - its significantly deeper than the stock Volvo unit I ordered the kit with the two hoses, as the outlet pipe sits at a different angle, also Not much clearance as it is, But all models have the axle passing through the same location relative to the pipes & hoses, so hopefully won't have to custom make anything on this one.
lookforjoe
Couple of logs from yesterday & today. Been refining the scales for the IAT's - none of them were registering temps below 32ºƒ, adjusted the scaling of the EGT to try & get more accurate readings where I need it - over 1000ºƒ. 3rd 2nd/3rd 1st/2nd - wheelspin here 3rd/4th Changed both O2 sensors today, the AEM WB02 has 60K hard miles on it, and the Front O2 wasn't a Bosch - I'm trying to narrow down a flaky AFR condition at idle that has developed the past few days. The longer it idles, the AFR will drop from 14.7-15.2, down to 13.7-14.2. Doesn't seem to be running rich overall. Swapped out the Audi MAF sensor for a Volvo unit as well, and cleared pending misfire DTC's. See how it goes tomorrow - I'll pull the plugs & see if there is any inconsistency across the 5. Data log today installed the OT-2 & added ECT via OBDII. MAF is now showing over 231g/s?? Wheel spin in 1, 2 &
Tightmopedman9
You should install a oil temp sensor to see how much of a difference the RS oil cooler makes. I'd be interested to see the difference.

lookforjoe
Nice!!! LSD will definately help with the hop!!!! And those are some funky bushings in the ca's...Yeah - with this style arm you could make alignment changes by shimming the control arm front or back with standard old US muscle car style alignment shims. I haven't decided whether to add a Oil temp sender - I'm adding oil pressure and logging EBP again as soon as I get the new SSI-4 installed. lookforjoe
Installing diff using Jann's helpful thread. First, new bearings were pressed onto diff carrier with a press. Then Snug the diff in place with four bolts to seat diff in ring gear. Then remove & locktite bolts, then torque to 48ft/lbs. Reinstall in casing All new Volvo Seals Subaru casing sealant - matches the white goop used by Volvo All back together, casing M8 bolts torqued to 23ft/lbs
