Spanky
Thanks Spanky, but this is where you lost me. What is 'green', is there a brand name I can google? I honestly thought you used it as an adjectice, as in 'earth friendly', or bio-deg. I was about to ask if gasoline is any good, you read my mind, lol. Simple green. They sell it at most grocery stores. Purple power diluted down will probably have the same affect.

Thanks Spanky, lol to that. Again I thought simple was used as an adjective in the phrase '50/50 Simple green water...' I asked my wife about it, what this 'green water' is about, and probably didn't mention the word 'simple' so she was not able to help me either... Failed in household cleaning 101, lol. drh
Will soaking in CLR do the trick to remove crusts on the wheel (borrowed pix below from bmx post). SPANKY said regular household cleaner for prolonged time works, but decided to be mysterious and withheld exactly which cleaner . If not, what? And yes, I wheeled some other spots where I belive it would be okay to do so, heeding warning from Husseins and SPANKY in another post. This is my 2nd attempt, i screwed up my first try, a $165 mistake. I wish Luckys 13T for rebuild for-sale came sooner, I may have saved some, lol. Lots of bent tips on that baby. Going to seriously affect efficiency. I'd look for another wheel. This one will act out of balance.

He borrowed the pics from another thread, it is not his turbine wheel (I'm sure he saw all the talk in that thread about bent fins and knows better than to use one that looks like that)
