gr8gatzby
I've unlocked and jailbraken my fair share of iPhones, but this is throwing me for a loop. working with a 2g iPhone. I first attempted an erase/restore to clear the last owner's data, during which it froze completely. I then tried to boot, but after displaying the Apple logo it will shutdown within 10 seconds each time. performed a hard reset by holding the Power/Home keys. iPhone then displayed within iTunes, recognized that it was in recovery mode and required a restore/upgrade to 3.1. Once the 3.1 firmware is downloaded, the iPhone just shuts off and I'm back to square one. This iPhone has worked perfectly for its 2 year life for the person who gave it to me. Any suggestions... Karlson
do you understand that by putting 3.1 version on iphone you are officially screwed for a long time! 3.0.1 is the latest version you can put without bricking it. use quickpwn, but I am afraid if 3.1 installed on your iphone, it can't be unlocked right now.
