brick8
I replaced the stock headunit with a Sony Xplod from cfield. All went well (except that the Sony makes annoying beeping sounds when the car is turned off). Just want to make sure that there isn't a separate stock amp buried somewhere that I should remove. If so, can someone tell me where it is so I can get rid of it? Thanks!
HeavyIron
If you had the sc-816 you may have had an external amp. If you do, it will be under your passenger seat
BEJinFBK
Doesn't sound like it. If you had the external amp, you'd already know. It's fed by a 6 pin DIN connector that plugs into the back of the OEM HU. If you connected the speaker outputs of the new deck to the car harness, that means the car harness ISN'T connected to a factory amp.
