SomeGuy
I just got my 18t back from a rebuild and am having a problem getting the downpipe to mate back up to it. I sent out the turbo minus the exhaust housing (angled) and it was sent back with another angled outlet exhaust side on it and I sent my existing one back to them as a core. I just got done putting the turbo back on and no matter how much I have tried, the downpipe will not mate up to the turbo. Below I have a picture of how it looks if I try to bolt it all up. Any suggestions on how i should go about fixing this issue? The downpipe is the IPD stage III downpipe.

Ipd
Looks like the flange is warped... Do you have a gasket in there? Should take up the difference.

Jaxx
Seal it with gasket material? if you do this, make sure it can take the temperatures.
Che'_Moderator
You don't want to half ass this. Pull the DP off and put a level on the housing and the DP and see which one is bowed. Take it to a machine shop and they can deck it for only a few bucks.
