turbo5winnipeg
Id go with the 850 R . Its got less weight to haul, probably a better top end on account of the fwd layout . It would probably not win off the line however on account of the S60 being awd, but i might be wrong. The v70 R would be lighter than the s60 r but its still got that awd top end problem. And i don't really know anything about the s70 r so im not going to speculate.

turbor850
now im talking about 1/4 mile here. . . .S60R - 14.0 now the 850R 5-Speed is 247 . . . with a Rica Chip, puts it around 305, now with just a chip, I don't think that it could run a 14.0 flat . . . . IMOi don't know. . . . it would be close
850 GLT
As far as I know there's no such thing as an S70R.
matt1122
You know little. (JK, btw)It was only available in europe. However there was NOT a 2000 S70R. In 2000 it was just the V70R AWD.
ChuckV
With equal WHP the 850 will win on the highend EVERY time. Less weight... and awd creates more highspeed drag. S60R stock will range from 240-270whp depending on the dyno.
Guest Guest
i dont know the s60 has 6 gears, which means its top gear is much taller, this could either help or hurt it, why dont we gather these cars up and find out
J0E
Stock S60R: 14.0-14.3 @ 99-101. Stock 850R: 14.9-15.2 @ 93-95.~300 BHP 850R (filter, downpipe, race cat, cat-back, ECU): 14.5-14.8 @ 94-97.
Tweety
now the 850R 5-Speed is 247 . . . with a Rica Chip, puts it around 305, now with just a chipyeah right... 305 horses with only a chip..... Johann
yeah right... 305 horses with only a chip..... Oh what the heck, I had this discussion several times. Never mind Actually it's 308.. About the comparison,What are we talking here? All 300 HP manuals, FWD for the older models or AWD for the older V70R model? If all have an honest and strong 300 HP the 850R will come out on top at 155 mph.The new R loses it's speed above 120 mph. Also the 3rd gear isn't as dramatic as the 850's 3rd gear performance. 850 probably loses a second to 60 but will gain 2-3 seconds to 125 mph. JDELUNA
I say the S60R would, it would first get a jump on the other cars since it has 4wd, then it would either start pulling away slowly till 155mph because I believe it is a little more aerodymanic than the others and also has better gearing than the others.
