SALESMANJOE
I have a Volvo 850 turbo looking at that only has 130k but compression is 130-130-130-130-130 that just seems low to me but it is even acrossthe board. I just thought it should be like 145 or 150 thanks joe

bergmjs
Healthy compression for the turbo model is 156-189 psi.

Anything below 140 warrants a rebuild IIRC. If not, I know that 130 is pretty low. I would personally pass on the car. If you want to buy it though, a leakdown test would be the best next step. Was the engine warmed up when you did the compression test? Edit: Stock compression on an 850 Turbo is ~180psi.
SALESMANJOE
good replys, yes engine was warm when doing the coompression test. What i did is had engine warm then pulled all the plugs, unhooked the coil, and started from cylinder one to cyclinder 5 cranking each cyclinder for a 5 count checked it twice too for compression. I was just worried when i say it was only
FCP Euro
130 is very low for an engine with only 130K miles on it. My 850 T5 has about 150 across the board and it has 195K on it.

bum2kev
did you open the throttle all the way?
bergmjs
You can turn it over more than 5 times if the gauge keeps going up. I keep it cranking until the gauge arrives at a steady value.
