64pvolvo1800 Posted November 8, 2009 Report Share Posted November 8, 2009 My right rear door latch pops up and down OK during the hot months but now that the weather is getting cooler it does not want to pop up. Strange thing is I cannot pull it up manually either. It's stuck. It just started this during the cold spell the first of this month. then it worked fine once we got warm again. First, I need a replacement and thought maybe someone has one for sale before I call DW Volvo for the new price. Second, any ideas on what the hell I do to open the door and change it if the lock wont open manually? I guess I can wait until May! Carlisle project! CJones16 Posted November 9, 2009 Report Share Posted November 9, 2009 Hmm, Maybe pull the car in the garage and let it sit. or maybe take something to heat it with OR pull the door handle out and take some WD40 with a straw and spray in the hole of the door handle (Does that actually reach the internals thought?)
