The little plastic screw in deal is... odd...i dont really know what to do, to have it work and not rattle. errr. Im drunk. thanks vs. <3 Step 1 - wait until tomorrow, you'll need steady hands The C70 has a different speaker setup to the x70's, a bunch of bass, mid & tweet units. Dropping in an aftermarket unit is going to unbalance that. If you have a blown driver, try and source an original, or the Dynaudio setup if you can find one (I believe Erievovo have some) Dynaudios sound great... If it's rattling (not farting because the speaker is blown) then take the door panel off and tighten loose stuff/dynomat the metal panels. I've used duct tape as a temporary method of locating rattles. Don't break the window mechanisms, I believe they're spendy. They do come up on the bay. ryan850-t5
I don't know why everyone says dynaudio. that shiz is expensive. you can get aftermarket speakers for much less that sound just as good.

Plus the dynaudio-ed C70 sounds fantastic - balanced, dynamic. You'd spend a lot getting an aftermarket system sounding that good.
mdlimy
I don't know why everyone says dynaudio. that shiz is expensive. you can get aftermarket speakers for much less that sound just as good. majority of sound quality is proper eq settings and the correct ammount of watts. Equalizer and multichannel amps are your friend. i was running pioneer speakers all around the 855 and it sounded better than any pos infinity speakers, it all comes down to knowing how to tune. andyb5
I put Alpine SPS-600C 6.5" components in my front doors. To remove the stock bracket, press in on the center of the little red pins, and they will pop right out. Then remove the torx screws, disconnect the wires. I was able to reuse the stock brackets (and the stock tweeter brackets too). If I remember everything correctly, I drilled out where the speakers are head molded in (4 "screw" looking points) then took a flathead screwdriver and used it to pry the speaker off of the bracket. It's glued on there pretty well, but it does come off. They sound very good, nice accuracy and precision. Not too expensive either, list is $130/pair I bought them for $65/pair. They can really crank too, RMS is 80 watts (I'm driving them with 55 watts)
