Ipd'S Full Turbo Back System

Kit Vexed

Recommended Posts

iPd's new SS full system looks great and the price is VERY reasonable @ $895 seeing as they were asking that much for the stage III downpipe alone... im sure, like me, a lot of guys have a cat back already from iPd or EST and dont need the FULL system. my question is, has anyone inquired about JUST the dp and race cat?? if so, how much did iPd (or would iPd - lucky) sell that portion of the exhaust for? i've got a straight flange, so their stage III was never an option for me, but the do have the straight option dp on their full exhaust.. even if they charged HALF for the dp and cat it'd be a good deal (seeing it's half the system). the other question i have is, would the iPd dp and cat hook up to EST's cat back?? probably not huh? lol. anybody bought this system yet? thoughts, opinions, etc???

One thing to bear in mind is that our system does not connect up at the same location as the stock system. So if you bought our downpipe and race cat it would not bolt up to the factory cat back. The mounting points are quite different. You could however have it welded in I suppose.

As it is we offer either the straight or angle flange downpipe separate for $240 and the remainder of the system as a complete kit.

I also have the same cat we use available separate (just the Cat alone, no pipe) for $135

So you could purchase the downpipe, plus our race Cat and have it fabbed to your exhaust system (whatever it may be).

Cost for those two parts would be $375 plus shipping method of your choice. For VS members we can usually do 10% off so you'd be looking at $337.50 plus shipping as a total.

Check out the vid on this system on our website or hit me up with any ?'s

240 for your dp?? :D 3 in.?

Just to clarify that is what you meant.....

Correct, but remember the downpipe alone would not drop in as a replacement to your stock downpipe.

Our DP is intended to work with our entire turbo back and so while you could make the DP work by itself it would require some welding and adding of pipe and a convertor to meet the stock cat back connection point.

Thanks, the performance of the turbo back is pretty decent as well. 100% flow through design and good tone IMO.

We did the turbo back with an 18T on our 1998 S70 T5M car and we didn't even flash the ECU to a stage III (just left it stage 1) and that car was struggling for traction even in 3rd gear. Kept a close eye on AFR and timing advance :D

Of course I don't personally recommend such a setup but just to say it was a bunch of fun for the two days we ran it!

Hmm...I have a TME catback.......I bet your dp is of better quality than OBX, which is currently on the car.

Holy crap. I remember ipd's dp being almost $900.

What happened to cause such a dramatic drop in price?

+1
