So when you two noobs can acutally say you handled both installed both come back and acutally open you mouths when you actaully have something to compare As usual here My Knowledge > yours Also IPD tried to work with OBX but OBX couldnt get the quality to there standards either. You would think I dont know anything about volvos here or the aftermarket suppliers or anythhing Justin, did you know the OBX exhaust isn't even made by OBX? Did IPD tell you, if so I can tell you something to get you to buy something. Spoke with lucky and few others directly , i dont have time nor care to make crap up . Only thing IPD probably did was get with the makers of the OBX system and say we want to carry your line but there are a few things that need fixed first plus we'd like our tip put on instead of the one used. As for quality of mat'l, they could easily ask if the system could be made to there specs of SS grade they want used, sure that may have happened possibly. I'm with everyone else here on this one, get the OBX save a ton of coin and smile the whole way knowing you got it for almost 600 less. Thing that sucks is you have aftermarket companies charging boat loads for a system that no R/D was really put into it other than pointing out existing flaws. IPD needs to open their eye's some and see that most people aren't going to swing 900+ for something they can get for 350, it dosen't take a rocket scientist to see thier all but identical - a tip and possibly a location of a hanger. As for using washers and such for the adjustment, clearly that should give you the clue that it's the cheaper OBX. I never bought a DP that had to be tweeked, but then again I was buying from a true tuners like Greddy and HKS which we all know they make there own shit and R/D IT THEMSELVES not source it out from a low end company to figure out. Chilled man Posted November 26, 2009 Report Share Posted November 26, 2009 How much actuall difference can there be in a exhuast ? think about it there are only certian hanger points and thats it. sure IPD went to OBX and OBX didnt want to change or step up the quality and the reason IPD went with someone else. when lucky gets back next week he can fill you on the fine detials , since I dont remember them from when I was on the phone with him installing chris's stuff on the white V70T5m Holy crap. I remember ipd's dp being almost $900. What happened to cause such a dramatic drop in price? I was looking for something like a new manifold turbo and full exhaust. ONE TUNE package deal. Maby IPD ? or would i have to go custom. WTF do i do ? I just wanna slap some people after I open up the beast. this upgrading is like drugs I cant stop. WTF do i do?
