spottieottie
Anyone have it? Any comments good or bad?←This OBD II Code Reader I believe is the same one that they sell everywhere. If I'm not right please someone step in and correct me. I am pretty sure that they are all the same as I have seen them everywhere, IPD it and it looks like it is the same one in both of their pictures. And if it is...please someone clarify this, then I just saw the same one at Kragen for ONLY $99.00. WOW!!!!!! I am strapped for cash and I don't even have my car here right now so I asked one of the ladies that worked there and she said they are on sale all the time for that much, supposively it has been on sale for like 3+ months. I was going to start a topic to tell everyone about the find but this is just as good... :)
tarp
Jeepers and Creepers has it cheaper than FCP Groton: Equus 3100 OBD II Code ReaderI've got one, and it's moderately useful in that it will read the standard OBD II engine and transmission codes. It will not display Volvo-specific DTCs, so you've got to use a cross reference, which Bay 13 has made available. It will reset a check engine light. It will not reset my service light because MY 1998 requires a special tool for that. It will not reset the SRS light, either.
spottieottie
So this means that everybody that sells them has the same one right, the Equus 3100 OBD II?
Mesoam
i think the one from FCP is like the one from autozone for $150. What is nice about theirs is that it reads the code, then a text readout :)
Sam
So this thing doesn't spit out the volvo codes, just the standard ODBII junk?

rlnelson
I have the obd 2 setup from Alex Piper called Car Code OBD-2. They are on the web . It runs on your laptop computer. It will get all the codes but you still have to cross them at Bay 13. However it WILL reset your service lite. They have 3 versions. I got the one that is universal and will check all cars.It was @135 I think.
