rbodor3
good point I guess dyno charts aren't really needed. I'd like to still get an "after" dyno from somebody's stock s60 if not for proof of gains at least for personal use. price range is going to stay between $250-300 it looks like. I do have some s60 stuff for sale like the 16t front konis, don't think there's much else.

TurboS60
Sounds perfect IMO. Only thing is how well it holds up in the winters.
rbodor3
pm me with the details of what u still have 4 sale glad to see the price is staying ~$300 No problem, I'll send you some info. And yes my plan is to keep it at an economical price. I'm not looking to make a bunch of $ off of this, I really would like to see the market open up more for S60s performance bolt ons. Sounds perfect IMO. Only thing is how well it holds up in the winters. Living in Atlanta we don't get too much ice (normally), but we just got hit by a mini-snow storm and the city poured salt and gravel everywhere. Needless to say my paint is going to need some babying, but I looked at the exhaust yesterday from underneath and it looks good. There is rust as can be expected from a mild steel weld, but so does the stock exhaust. I've considered hitting the welds with VHT paint - but from what I've seen firsthand with VHT on exhausts is that it doesn't hold up too well (especially on the DP). ---update--- Magnaflow is backed up on orders of JBends - and they have the best pricing for a 3" that I've found. I've searched summit, jegs, ebay, etc etc and can't find a jbend that will keep the price in range. If anybody can source a 3" jbend please PM me, this is what's holding me up right now.... Naughty33W
EGT's are prolly to high for anything short of an epoxy paint - and that would be too pricey
bpray9223
I bet that flat black high heat grille paint you can buy at home depot or many other places would work?
Naughty33W
I bet that flat black high heat grille paint you can buy at home depot or many other places would work? that stuff is rated for sub 1000 degrees isnt it ?

bpray9223
that stuff is rated for sub 1000 degrees isnt it ? it can resist up to 1200 degrees, and I dont think an exhaust system will get hotter than that http://www.rustoleum.com/CBGProduct.asp?pid=
Naughty33W
hmm , what are egt's right behind the turbo ?
rbodor3
VHT or grille paint should be fine for a short term or no-track use, and in areas where the road conditions allow. I've seen VHT spray used on exhausts in the past, and it holds up for about 1-2 years in the right environment (most of Metro Atlanta). But 1 track day and that stuff will burn right off in about an hour. It's not a bad idea, but look at it this way: these hiflow cat's only last like 3-5 years typically so you'll be replacing that every couple of years (if you plan on keeping the car that long) and at that time it's just easier to get a whole new down pipe especially if you can get it for pretty cheap. Personally I've never really seen the point in a SS or coated exhaust for a car that doesn't auto-x.

bpray9223
i was going to ask, but I figured if the guy is confident enough to fabricate exhaust systems and sell them, the welds must be half way decent, but you never know...
