VAVolvo Posted November 26, 2004 Report Share Posted November 26, 2004 I was wondering if it had a dramatic negative effect on the engine to run it past 4000 RPM for an extended period of time? I ran the car last night going 80mph in third gear (automatic) for like 5-10 mins. so I can get more acceleration at higher speeds without the car having to automatically down shift all the time.Thankyou for any info!
