s15det Posted November 27, 2004 Report Share Posted November 27, 2004 The input shaft of the M56 5-speed that I just installed, had no "nose" on it for a pilot bearing? I installed the tranny thinking that there must not be one. Then, I saw a listing for one on a parts site. Question, is there supposed to be a pilot bearing, and why was there no "nose" on the input shaft of my transmission for it? Please help explaing this.
