rp850
Hi, 95 855T w/factory alarm system I'm having a remote starter installed soon and was curious if there was a resistor embedded in the ignition key? Does anyone know? Apparently if there is I would assume it's in the black rectangular part of the key but I'm not sure. If there is one, I'll need an additional bypass module for the remote starter. Thanks!

rp850
Thanks for the reply. I kinda figured the 95 was a little early for the resistor in the key. That is actually good news for me. Apparently, if there is a resistor in the key, the remote starter I'm getting will require an additional bypass module (and additional $). Thanks again. Yup, it would require a stuff a key box and a coded key. They will need to hit the factory disarm wire, but that is just one wire off the RS unit. Jippi 855 GLT
you just need to disarm the factory alarm with the disarm wire from the alarm/remote start and it should be good to go.
rp850
Great. Sounds straightforward enough! Thanks. you just need to disarm the factory alarm with the disarm wire from the alarm/remote start and it should be good to go.
