PBPZ22
Hello, got a problem with my V70(Dezember 1998). What happens is that out of the direction where my speedometer sits a funny sound appears. It sounds like plastic rubbing against each other (guess in my case it's the speedometer against the dash board). To see what's actually going on, I would like to remove me speedo. Can somebody send me an instruction. It seems that there is a trick, but till now I didn't manage to find it. My E-Mail adresse is PBPZ22@aol.com. Thanks for your help P.S.: Sorry for the bad english, I'm from germany :-D
Tom.
its fairly simple. just alot of screws... -theres a screw behind each of the vents for the front door windows. -one screw under each tweeter speaker. -pop the center vent out and theres a few behind there. -pop out the drivers vent one behind there. -then unscrew the glovebox inside and pull it out. -3 10mm bolts holding in the airbag and unplug it DO NOT TURN THE CAR ON WHEN UNPLUGGED itll set off all sorts of warnings. -two screws on the top inner lip where the speedo is. the top dash should pop off unless i missed a screw but that should cover them all unless you have the center speaker which unless you installed it you dont... the theres top goldish clips on top once the dash pads off unclip unplug and its out!
