HayaCruza
Is your '97 850 turbo or not and does your car have fuel pressure damper instead of vacuum controlled fuel pressure regulator? HPT and pressure controlled FPR Just saying, in the US a 97 850 (at least HPT) had 4.3 Good Luck!

misa
Well,as i can see all of your cars are turbo models(lpt or hpt),mine is non-turbo. It's '97 850 2.5 20v b5254s(125kw-170hp)non-turbo. I also read that all turbo models, even if they are made in 1997.,have Motronic 4.3. -Mine have fuel pressure damper(not vacuum controlled fpr like almost all 850's have) -I have just one fuel line attached near timing belt cover going to fuel rail(i don't have fuel return line) -i have air pump -pcv box number is 1271988 like on s,v70 models(not #9146756 like all 850's have) So...according to that i was preety sure that i have Motronic 4.4. Do you guys still think that i have Motronic 4.3? Can anyone of you guys tell me how can i know for sure which ecu i have...4.3 or 4.4?How can i find out that? Thanks all of you for the answers. bum2kev
have you looked at your ecu by chance....
misa
Yes,there are Bosch numbers and some other numbers. There is nothing like Motronic on it. It's should be Motronic 4.3 or 4.4,because i'm sure it isn't jetronic or fenix 5.2. Fenix is fitted only in 10 valve cars,Jetronic is pre '96 and have 3 ecu's in ecu box.Mine have two,one for engine & other for transmission.
