Inside of car remove the tailgate panel, and manipulate the locking linkage.

Ok. I did this, no avail how about a diagram for the assemble from the inside. I can't get the latch to open all the linkage looks fine from the parts that I can see...

The electronics may have taken a dump in the locked position. If you need a new lock/latch I got one new for sale. Good luck.
