quietcoolone
B) My wife has been wanting to connect her Delphi Roady to the factory radio, but unfortunately we could only do so with the Fm modulator kit. Fortunately we came across this Volvo auxiliary input adapter and have decided to order it for a direct connection to the SC816 radio. oh.. we also ordered this part which will allow her ipod mini and XM Radio. We expect them to arrive in about 4 days. There is a switch on the aux3 that allows her to switch between xm and ipod--- the radio stays in cd changer mode. Installation time: 30 minutes. Veneficus
The adaptor goes into the back of the head unit. You remove it by pressing in the two tabs that are on the bottom corners of the head unit and the pull them. You will see a female socket with the label "CD" above it. This is where it plugs into. BlackS70
I also purchased the same aux input adapter and will be installing it this weekend. I will try to post some pictures of the install. Like previously stated it is a pretty straight forward and simple install.Dave

BlackS70
I just installed the blitzsafe aux input adapter and it works great. Install took me less than 20 minutes (sorry no pics right now). The install is very easy just 1. Pop the radio out, 2. Plug the aux input adapter into the CD changer port, 3. Tap into a 12+ volt wire make your rca connections and you are done. The hardest part was stuffing all the wires back into the dash so I could get the Radio back in. For the 12+ volt needed to power the adapter I tapped into the antenna wire (blue wire with stripe) in the wiring harness. Dave
ctt5
just wanted to add that I did the same Blitzsafe install. WORKS WONDERFULLY! my ipod sounds great on my SC-901. Best $100.00 ever spent. order the rca adapter for the ipod and the blitzsafe adapter and your in business. takes less than 20 minutes. only one wire to splice. theunderlord
Bing, this thread should be pinned. Seriously. So many people ask how to do this, and we have a thread that answers all questions.
