ruecatinat
So fairly recently the antenna snapped off my dad's S70, don't know where or how it happened as I was not driving it at the time...take a look at the pictures, do I need a new assembly, new mast, new everything, what do you think my options are? As it operates now the reception is getting shady and every time the signal is on it echoes through the sound system P.s, sorry about the lousy pics, the DSLR decided to die and I have my phone until I can get back to school for my point and shoot. Thanks in advance!

Here are the instructions you'll need to do the job. Link
db130
in certain cases, whatever is remaining of the mast could be seized onto the base of the antenna. spray some liquid penetrant(like pb blaster) for several days before attempting the repair. on one antenna i ended up having to remove the entire power antenna assembly to work on it indoors to remove the mast with the aid of a bench vise(this was last winter). ruecatinat
Thanks a lot for the replies guys, currently back at school but when I head back home for a little bit I'll have a mast on order and myself and the old man will tackle it.
