Sandro Seminara
I noticed today that I have a huge gash in my A/C condenser. Looks like I'm in need of a replacement. A couple of questions. Do I have to remove the radiator to replace the condenser? Also it looks like there's only one torx screw for each input/output for the condenser. Is that right? Does the AC work, or did the gash actually allow the freon to escape? If it works, forget about the gash...If it did leak, then just take it to an AC shop...you need a vacuum pump capable of maintaining 30 in vac for an hour, as well as the manifold to recharge the system.. Unless of course your just planning on doing the R&R to save a portion of the labor.
