T5Manual850
Is there a recommended setting for how stiff the shocks should be? I'm using the 1.75" ipd springs
ozzimark
I'm running the H&R springs, but I keep the fronts about 1 to 3/4 turn down from the stiffest setting, and the rear about a 1/2 turn down from the stiffest setting. Leaving the rear too soft produces weird handling characteristics over bumps that I really hate. How did I settle at those values? Trial and error. Pick something for the rear, change the front from softer to harder every day until you've run out of distinguishable combinations, then go change the rear again, rinse repeat. Take note of which combinations you likes most, and run those. Doing this on a track day is ideal ;)
nari
I set the rears full stiff and about 2 turns in the front. Feels faster this way than full stiff all around. But i'm not on IPD srings :monkey:
FAST850R
You have to adjust them with your own experience. That is why koni adjustable shocks are fun! You do one setting and drive for a week, then try different setting then try one week...keep going till you feel the perfect riding. Make sure you drive the same course so you know how the setting makes the differences. Everybody has their own driving style and taste. Have fun with it. Cheers.
