B Mac
Ben are your lenses plastic or glass? I have a set of glass lenses from a set of jewels I picked up that I planned on polishing and protecting with some xpel. Is your high beam affected much from the lack of lense fluting? TorqueSteer
Ben are your lenses plastic or glass? The clear lenses are glass. My projectors are E55 bi-xenon (with ZKW replica lenses), so they have an HID high beam built in. I still have the stock halogen projectors in place as an additional light source, but yes, I noticed that the stock halogen high beams are more like a floodlight on the road rather than a "high beam" that is dispersed across the driver's viewing area. TorqueSteer
Ditto. TSX retrofit is great. Although I'm itching for something like an E55 w/ ZKW lenses or an S2k retro. What makes you want E55's? Although I love my e55's (especially the high beam) I think that the E55's focus too much light in the center and leave out the sides. The design of the 850 housing may also play a role, it seems that the square design cuts off the side light.

You're on the mark there. My neighbor has a TL and we were comparing beam patterns. It's pretty obvious the squareness of the 850's design cuts off the side light. His TL's pattern is almost 180deg. but his projector lens are pretty much out front in the headlight assy. 850s are blocked by the side markers. But I must say my HOVA 850's angel eye projectors w/ 35W HIDs matched up pretty close straight out front. If I swapped out those _/_/ cutoff plates with straight ones, it'd be close. For folks that don't want to mess with reto-fitting; HIDs in the HOVAs are a good choice, performance wise. You just gotta like that cheesy BMW look alike look. RobT5M
From the UK ? Are you trying to blind oncoming traffic ? They'll be aimed the wrong way and you won't be able to adjust them properly. Haha my bad, I should have mentioned they have ones for USA driver side left vehicles. They are pretty much the same as the IPD brand. Although the retrofit looks pretty interesting... I might have to try this.

Jaxx
yeah, E46 projectors are pretty narrow as well. 1 TSX projector was able to pretty much light up the entire road:
