PR850TURBO
Hi Folks! Any suggestion on how to reduce some turbo lag on my auto 850? The turbo is really "waking up" after 3K rev's. I want more low end "ponnies". Can I adjust the timing to compensate? I know Nitrous maybe an option but, dont' want that route.. Thanks, Vic
JVC
I see your mods list... do you just have the 16t in there? could have a vac leak, might want to check your BCS and maybe upgrade to the acdelco one or the IPD version, or a MBC. Otherwise make sure you have full stage 0 and you have no vac leak to start.

HtownTurboBrick
You shouldn't be looking for full boost before 3k, thats how rod's get bent. Are you running a true ball bearing GT turbo? They're generally not slouches when it comes to spool time.

cr854r
True, dont plan on running anti lag for long lol but if tuned right can be used , we are running it on our formula car now. I plan on only driving this car on a track, an maybe to work one sunny day,Oh and i hope to be able to get a billet crank but am unable to get ahold of the supplier
BoostedBrick
Twin scroll exhaust housing would help.
Naughty33W
just a rip kit to feed that turbo ? - a decent quality tuner style fmic and pipes will let it pull air through a bit easier] ur sig just says catback - if u still have it i'd swap ur stock cat for a race cat

Thanks, Vic Hi Vic, you can advance the cam timing a little bit to try to bring the powerband down. I would say if you are getting full boost with that turbo before 4k RPM though you're in pretty good shape. The GT2871 would be a better turbo to use with the automatic transmission. duke of cruel
you plan on running anti-lag? will be epic if you do. I love anti-lag and do understand how it works... for the most part. You spray unburnt fuel in the exhaust manifold at low rpm, it ignites and spool the turbo. DoC

Thanks, Vic Sounds weird man, I make 1,2 bar of boost at 2500 and full boost (1,25 bar) at 2750 rpm with 18t´s or kkk 24´s. But i looked at atps manifold, and it could be the weak link, Borrow an r manifold and see if it helps. I think it will. You could also get a skilled mapper that knows volvo to map it. But stock internals really dont like boost down low. When youve solved the problem you should turn to na cams or more, but ad them before the map session.
