JMK33
My front passenger side door lock doesnt seem to pop up when I unlock the car any more, it will go 1/4 the way up and the door will remain locked from the outside. Im thinking of taking the lock pin out to see if it came loose at all. What else can I do to fix this, im assuming ill need to take off the panel to get good access to the lock. Any ideas? Probably due to the weather the door lock actuator is sticking. Its a very common problem with x70's. Either wait till the summer or pop in a used one from a junkyard. That's what I would do. It's a really quick and easy repair too.

They get sticky in time and the internal spring inside the motor assembly weakens - I have the same symptom on my rear passenger side T5M. I cleaned it and lubed it and worked for a while but eventually happened again. Do it once and replace either with a new one or if interested, I have a spare for 98 that is newer/replacement (as opposed to original part that came with the car). Can help install - lmk.
