Louie A.
I have a Pioneer AVIC-D3 installed and want to replace the Infinity speakers I put in the car about eight years ago. I've seen some excellent reviews about the Alpine R-Series, the trick is that I want to go from six speakers to eight, by adding 6"x9" speakers to the rear decck and recarpeting the rear deck with the fabric that allows the speakers to be hidden (no grilles). Any suggestions as far as speakers and will I need an amp to run the 6x9s?
Fake-R
I love Polk db series speakers. I've had them in my 240, and 850. Just a great, great speaker. If I were you, I'd amp all the speakers, but if you don't want to, that'd be fine, try to amp the 6x9's and see how you like it.
