Zappo
Legal is 35%, at least for the front side windows, but you can probably get away with 20% without being bothered. I run 35% on the front doors, 20% on the rest.

--Aaron--
IMO One percentage looks best on all glass. 35% is my favorite........enough to protect the interior, keep the sun out of your eyes and keeps it looking elegant. Please forgive the dirtyness, can you tell I had just gotten my PC'd Volans put on? Being that they're the only clean part....
TRACStar
Volans look good But windows need moar darker...... I like 20% its dark without being limo tint
--Aaron--
Volans look good But windows need moar darker...... I like 20% its dark without being limo tint Thanks alot! If you knew these local areas by where I travel all the time you'd understand why I'm a big fan of 35%, on top of other reasons of course. There are 3 townships I can think of that are unavoidable and HATE window tint. I never got bothered with 35 before though.
Ghost Shadow
5% all the way. here in PA on a passenger vehicle, 70% is the legal limit = virtually no tints. therefor 5%, 20%, 35%, 50% anything will net you a $100+ ticket. BUT, there is a BUT.....at my shop, the most popular shade/combination is 20% rear and 35% front two with a 20% front strip. thats 25% of the customers. another 65% choose 20% all around, then theres knuckle heads like me that like it dark 5% hehehe. on a wagon i'd do the rear 5% at least and then the 4 doors 20%. that will look nice. i hope the interior is charcoal if not the tintz will look lighter than it actually is due to reflection from the tan. i only use 5, 20 and 35% and been using Johnson Window films for the last 15 years. Very good quality tintz, check with your tint shop on what film they use. not all tint is equal, there is cheap china imported tint that sells for $50 a 24"x100' roll for 35% vs Johnson films premium grade tints the same size sells at$180 per roll. better tint means more resistant to scratching, peeling and most of all fading. these things go hand in hand. good luck in your choice, any one will be good. i feel tint should be on all cars! Naughty33W
personally i prefer to have all the tint match - meaning , not going with 35 in front and 15 in the rear - 35 all around , or whatever u pick however - on my S60 i have 15 in the front and 5 in the rear - and it looks bada55 !!! --Aaron--
You can always tell cheaper tint........gets that ugly purpleish look to it. I've had the same place do my cars for quite a long time now............runs about 190/sedan with Llumar film (checks spelling).

Ghost Shadow
You can always tell cheaper tint........gets that ugly purpleish look to it. I've had the same place do my cars for quite a long time now............runs about 190/sedan with Llumar film (checks spelling). but it doesnt get purple for at least 6-8 months. my convertible was done july31,2007 and it looks the same today as it did then. i can put a new piece of tint on and it will match 100%good tint does not fade. bengallegos
well i'm thinkin 5 for the back, and 15 for the sides. the awesome thing is all their tint is lifetime warranted. any bubbles, peels, scratches, fading... it gets re-done. :D
VolvoForLife850
I ran %17 all around. Check your state's legal limit first.
