Young Burnsy
You need a Line Out Converter. Use this to tap into the rear deck speakers. Check out Crutchfield.com
bdimag
^^ that... http://www.crutchfie...Converters.html also, some amps have that feature built in... so you may want to check that. look at the input side for anything that says "speaker-level" then you would use something like these: (one on left uses it's own 4 pin plug, the ones on the right use the same RCA ports on the amp, but there's a switch)
beadgc23
Be careful - the 815/816 has this huge bass hump at 80Hz or so. You could end up wearing your sub cone as a hat. Hard to get rid of this without a flexible parametric EQ or a headunit that doesn't do this...
BEJinFBK
Most Volvo stock decks have a preamp level AMP connector on the back. It's a round, 6 pin DIN jack marked "AMP". Get the right adapter cable and you can plug right in... Search eBay for "Volvo Amp".

He'd want this, if there's no existing Volvo amp: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Volvo-Stereo-Radio-Factory-HU-to-Aftermarket-Amp-Cable_W0QQitemZ200343379405QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Audio_Video?hash=item2ea5655dcd Or this, if there is: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Volvo-Stereo-Radio-Add-an-Aftermarket-Amp-Cable_W0QQitemZ200396353458QQcmdZViewItemQQptZCar_Audio_Video?hash=item2ea88dafb2
beadgc23
I have one of his cables and they work fine - but you have to admit, that's one tiny niche market...
